I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing services statewide via telehealth. I have over 12 years of experience working with individuals, couples, adolescents, and families and have worked extensively with the LGBTQIA+ community. I welcome clients of all sexual orientations and gender identities.
My approach
Are you seeking to explore your identity, improve your overall mental health, wellbeing, and relationships, or simply seeking support and guidance? Without the ability to talk honestly and compassionately about the more vulnerable aspects of our lives, we often find ourselves feeling limited and unsatisfied. By engaging in the therapeutic process, I will help you to identify your inner strengths and develop the skills to overcome negative thought patterns, behaviors, and difficult emotional experiences. I integrate techniques from evidence-based therapies in a way that is flexible, creative, and responsive based on your individual needs.
My focus
Life can be challenging, and there are times when we are faced with situations that leave us feeling depressed, anxious, isolated, or overwhelmed, feelings which make it hard to navigate day-to-day living or engage in meaningful relationships. As a therapist, my goal is to help you successfully navigate these challenges and identify what it is you want and what's holding you back.
My communication style
I’m here to provide a safe affirming space for you to develop an understanding of yourself, a space where you can express yourself freely without fear of judgment. My approach is always grounded in compassion and curiosity for your thoughts and feelings.
My journey to mental healthcare
Throughout my life, I have frequently found myself drawn to helping others, which is what led me to my chosen career as a therapist. Having experienced difficult times of my own, I know what it’s like to feel anxious, overwhelmed, and alone with no one to talk to, and with therapy, I learned the importance of what it meant to have somebody on your team encouraging you to be your best and most authentic self.
My goals for you
Often in life, we feel defined by emotionally difficult experiences or perceived limitations, which leave us feeling stuck in place rather than moving forward toward our goals. In therapy, we will work towards identifying your potential while strengthening your ability to cope.
My first session with you
In the first session, we'll meet to get a sense of you, your history, and your needs. From the start, we will work together to develop a plan to help you reach your ultimate goals. This will also be an opportunity for you to ask any questions you might have about the therapeutic process. Future visits will be more clinical in nature.
