Hi, I'm Priscilla. I'm so glad you found me! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and I offer individual, couple, and EMDR/trauma therapy. This wasn't an easy decision for you, and I'm sure you've thought about it for a while. It takes courage to do what you're doing and I'm proud of you. My goal is to give YOU the tools to help make your life a better and more fulfilled one!
My approach
I use a powerful combination of coping skills, mindfulness, behavior modification, and trauma work. You'll be able to use the things you learn in therapy for the rest of your life. Therapy with me is like traveling in an unknown country, it can feel overwhelming, exciting, scary, and anxiety-provoking, but you're not alone. I'll give you guidance. You'll have the practice tools as you think about your next step. The answers will start to be clearer and you'll know how to weigh the options and see potential outcomes. If you're willing to put in the work on investing in yourself, I'm also willing to work just as hard with you.
My focus
I enjoy working with motivated individuals ages 24 years and older. You may not know what you want or how to get it when it comes to your mental health, but as long as you're open to trying I'm here for it! I want to help you realize your greatness and discover the best version of yourself. Just because you don't believe it (just yet) that doesn't mean you're not capable of doing more. I help you focus on your strengths. We start where you're comfortable and ease you into change. I can't wait to get started!
My communication style
Every client session is different, and rapport is built upon your comfort. My communication style varies with each client along with motivation and goals. Therapy may be new to you and that's ok. We settle into the process together.
