Hi there, I'm Rachel!

My approach to therapy is client-centered, focusing on your strengths and goals to guide our collaborative working relationship. Therapy with me is warm, empathic, and compassionate; a place where you can feel safe to explore your innermost thoughts and gain insights about yourself that will support growth and change. With all of the increased pressures and demands of our world today, it can be difficult to cope and also easy to find unhealthy ways to distract and avoid. I can guide you through processing your stressors and unhealthy thought patterns to aid in living a more balanced and satisfying life. Whether you are struggling with a major life change, relationship issues, a family of origin issues, unprocessed traumas, boundary issues, poor self-esteem or sense of self, a new breakup, or identity issues, I can support you in gaining insight, skills, new thought patterns, confidence, and perspective to promote your growth and recovery journey. Through therapy, you will be better able to identify and understand troubling emotional states and learn tools to manage these in a healthy way. My goal is also to help you understand how your past life experiences have shaped you and to assist you in healing from these traumas and pain. The diagnoses of clients I have often worked with include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. I use an integrative approach to therapy, pulling from several different modalities to tailor treatment to your needs. The most common interventions I use are Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT for psychosis, Mindfulness, and DBT-based skills. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you, hear your story, and support you in achieving the goals and quality of life that you desire.
