Hi, my name is Lupe. I am honored you are considering working with me. Below is some information to help you determine if we are a good match, feel free to reach out if you have questions. I specialize in working with the LGBT+ community and those who struggle with internalized shame due to experiencing discrimination, oppression, trauma, and cultural conditioning.
My approach
I operate from a trauma-informed care view, I use mindfulness-based practices and whole-body healing in my work with others. I am trained in CBT, Seeking Safety, IPT, Problem-Solving Therapy, Mindfulness Stress Reduction, and Kundalini Yoga.
My focus
I help clients work through trauma, relationship issues, coming out, identity exploration, shame, guilt, depression, substance use, and anxiety.
My communication style
I have a calming warm demeanor and work collaboratively with clients toward their goals. I believe clients have inner wisdom, sometimes needing help to access it.
