Daisy Arriaza

My name is Daisy Arriaza and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Los Angeles, California and work with clients statewide via telehealth. I began my career as a forensic therapist providing mental health services to individuals who were incarcerated. I've worked with children and families in the foster care and dependency court system, providing family and play therapy to address various trauma. I've also provided individual therapy to adults who have been victims of crime. I bring a wide range of personal experiences to my practice, enabling me to understand and empathize with many issues troubling my clients. My professional goals and strong ethics have inspired me to continually expand my expertise. I value self-exploration to provide life-long emotional growth in myself and in my client's lives. I believe that change happens when people are given the support they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling happy lives.

My approach

I utilize a multidimensional approach to therapy, exploring each individual's biological, psychological, social, and spiritual needs. My therapeutic approach is to evaluate each person within their environment and provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. Rather than adopting one methodology for all individuals and issues, I draw from a variety of methods to create a tailored approach for each individual and situation.

My focus

The children, families, and adults that I have served were often in crisis, with attachment disruptions, physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, and multi-generational trauma. I have experience in working with providing treatment to individuals of all ages with a history of abuse, trauma, and loss. I've also assisted individuals with depression, anxiety, stress, and ADHD.

My communication style

As a therapist, I am warm, open, encouraging, and direct. I consider myself an active therapist, combining experience, education, creativity, and a sense of humor with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling.

My goals for you

I believe that healing is a collaborative endeavor that requires honest caring without judgment, and I cooperatively assist my clients in clarifying their goals for treatment. I strive to come along side others to assist them in healing from trauma, building self-worth, improving communication in their relationships and reaching their goals.
