Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Counselor practicing since 2015. In 2018 I moved from Atlanta, GA, to sunny Orange County, California, where I currently reside. I have always had a passion for guiding and supporting youth. As a teen, I remember all too well the challenges of navigating relationships, struggles with self-image, and meeting academic demands. I have spent the last decade working in school districts as a school counselor, mental health specialist, and educationally-related mental health services specialist for students with special education needs.
My approach
I am comprehensive in my therapy approach and adapt to each client's individual needs. I work from a family system and solution-focused based framework. My primary specialties are depression, anxiety, grief, and loss.
My focus
I work with children ages 6-10, adolescents, and young adults up to age 35.
My communication style
I work from a place of significant empathic understanding and active listening while providing clients with gentle yet assertive and practical feedback.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have worked as a therapist in various arenas of the industry, helping youth and adults from all walks of life. I am Licensed as a Clinical Counselor, National Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Educationally Related Mental Health Provider, and School Counselor. I have received training in Crises Response (Critical Incident Stress Management), Restorative Practices, and Trauma-Informed Practices. I have been drawn to therapy for as long as I can remember, as I have always had a passion for helping others and felt an instinctive calling to guide those in need.
My goals for you
I hope to support clients to become the best version of themselves as they develop a deep sense of self-understanding and authentic appreciation for who they are and who they are becoming.
My first session with you
Clients will spend the initial session identifying what brought them to therapy, uncovering therapy goals, and what they hope will change and shift in their lives as a result of the therapeutic experience.
