Hi there, I'm Kathleen!

I provide a warm and collaborative therapy experience. Having previously worked extensively with Silicon Valley professionals during the Global Financial Crisis, I now specialize in supporting high-functioning men through personal and career challenges, focusing on work-related stress, relationship dynamics, and navigating life transitions with tailored, empathetic, and evidence-based care.

My approach

I approach therapy with a client-centered and integrative perspective, drawing on cognitive-behavioral techniques, existential-humanistic principles, and solution-focused strategies.

My focus

I work with patients aged 13 and up, specializing in providing compassionate mental health services tailored to high-functioning professional men. Understanding the unique challenges men face in their personal and professional lives, from demanding careers to societal expectations, I am dedicated to helping them navigate these complexities and build a foundation for a fulfilling and balanced life. Additionally, I possess expertise in assisting clients with anxiety, depression, sleep issues, self-esteem building, dating and relationships, communication, immigrant adjustment, cultural issues, and finding meaning and purpose in life.

My communication style

My communication style mirrors a conversation with a trusted friend—warm, non-judgmental, and grounded in the principles of phenomenology. I possess a deep curiosity about the human experience, driven by a commitment to understanding each person's unique psychological journey without judgment.

My journey to mental healthcare

From a young age, I was captivated by the complexities of the human mind. By the time I reached college, I had delved deeply into the teachings of luminaries such as Jung, Freud, Rogers, Yalom, and Tillich. My innate curiosity about the human experience and the profound influence of one's psychology continued to grow. My exploration extended to Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), which underscores the significance of effective communication and personal growth.

My goals for you

We collaborate to set both short-term objectives and long-term aspirations that resonate with your journey. I break down goals into practical, actionable steps to foster self-discovery, build confidence, and prioritize personal growth. We will regularly revisit and adjust your goals to ensure they align with your evolving journey. I enjoy creating a treatment plan with milestone goals and assigning homework that includes educational insights about psychology to further enhance your progress and self-discovery.

My first session with you

In our first session, you can anticipate a welcoming and non-judgmental space where you are the primary focus. We'll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, explore your personal history and current challenges, and begin outlining a collaborative and goal-oriented therapeutic journey.
