Hi there, I'm Kila!

Kila T. Dames is a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT, CA) she earned her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at National University. She worked in the medical health field since 2007. While employed at Cedars Sini- Medical Center, Los Angeles, California, Kila worked as a case manager providing behavioral support to adults with bariatric conditions and clients with geriatric requirements. In 2010, Kila transitioned to the Mental Health industry where she gained extensive training and experience with the Department of Mental Health, she worked at an adolescent substance abuse agency and a community mental health agency. While working at these agencies, she developed her learning proficiencies and practices regarding cultural diversity and sensitivity when she provides therapy sessions for adults, children, adolescents, groups, and families. With the success, she gained and the passion she has for Mental Health, she is now a Program Manager, in Los Angeles, California. Kila is now providing training to clinicians and case managers at an adult substance mental health agency, where she is using her proficiencies and practices to navigate her staff and provide them with knowledge on how to approach meeting their clients at their mental level.
