My goal is to collaborate with you on your journey of self-exploration to gain insight and awareness into the components of your universe contributing to your "stuckness".
My approach
I believe that forming a therapeutic alliance that cultivates a safe and secure space for you to access yourself in a deep and meaningful way is essential when starting therapy. For this reason, I prioritize focusing on starting where you are at and going at your own pace. My approach utilizes strength-based, attachment-based, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral (CBT), compassion-focused, culturally sensitive, mindfulness-based, motivational interviewing, solution-focused brief (SFBT), and trauma-focused modalities.
My focus
During my 5 years of experience as a therapist, I have helped individuals work through anxiety, depression, familial difficulties, trauma, infidelity, burnout, and self-esteem issues. I mainly work with adults 18+ on issues including infidelity, anger management, anxiety, women's issues, trauma and PTSD, stress, substance use, self-esteem, relationship issues, mood disorders, men's issues, life transitions, job stress, family conflict, codependency, coping skills, depression, divorce, and peer relationships.
My communication style
In starting the process of exploration of your inner universe, you will begin to gain more of an understanding of yourself. My communication style focuses on the power of understanding yourself, because healing starts with awareness of your inner workings.
My journey to mental healthcare
I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from California State University, Long Beach from August 2014 to May 2017. I completed my clinical hours for licensure from August 2017 to December 2019 at Augustus F. Hawkins Mental Health Center, Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. I am able to provide therapy in both English and Spanish.

My first session with you
In our first session, we will focus on understanding where you are at currently and what has brought you to therapy. We will go at your own pace in exploring your inner universe. My priority will be to begin establishing a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship with you.
