As an LPCC, I help adult individuals find solutions to problems, feelings, and thoughts about life and its struggles. Whether it is something in the present moment or an issue from the past that needs healing, my goal is to provide a safe space where you can be heard, understood, and non-judgmentally supported.
My approach
I believe the therapeutic relationship is, above all, the education and techniques in the helping field. The most important part of therapy is that you feel comfortable with your therapist and your willingness to change your situation. As a Person-Centered Expressive Arts Therapist, if talk therapy is not enough, perhaps there is a creative arts approach that will provide a healing solution for you.
My focus
I work with adult individuals struggling with issues such as Depression, Divorce, Grief, Life Transitions, Relationship Issues, Sexual Abuse, Stress, Substance Use, Trauma, and PTSD.
My communication style
I know it takes courage to reach out. Whatever it is, we'll get through it together. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard and understood.
My journey to mental healthcare
From 8/2014 - 1/2018, I completed my clinical hours for licensure. Carl Rogers says, "Growth occurs when individuals confront problems, struggle to master them, and through that struggle develop new aspects of their skills, capacities, and views about life." This philosophy resonates with me and inspired my path to becoming a mental health professional.
My goals for you
I would like to help you free yourself from the symptoms that keep you from living your best life. My goal is to support you in finding solutions, healing from the past, and developing new capacities to thrive.
My first session with you
In our first session, we'll focus on understanding your unique situation, needs, and goals. I'll provide a safe, supportive space for you to share openly. Together, we'll begin to identify the best therapeutic approach for your growth and healing, whether that involves talk therapy, expressive arts, or other modalities such as CBT, EMDR, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic, or Trauma-Focused techniques.
