Hi there, I'm David!

HI! I'm a licensed therapist in California with over 20 years of experience helping people with various concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, and ADHD. I also have expertise in working with clients who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My approach

My therapy style combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, and rational-emotive approaches. I tailor the dialogue and treatment plan to meet each client's unique and specific needs. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, without using stigmatizing labels.

My focus

I work with both individuals and couples on a wide range of issues, including aging, anger management, substance abuse, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, self-esteem, and more. My specialties encompass mental health challenges across the lifespan.

My communication style

You can expect me to be warm, interactive, and collaborative in our work together. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard and supported. Through open and honest dialogue, we will identify your goals and take steps to create positive change.

My journey to mental healthcare

I hold a Master of Arts degree and have dedicated my career to the mental health field. With over two decades of clinical experience, I have had the privilege of helping numerous individuals and couples overcome challenges, heal from emotional wounds, and lead more fulfilling lives. Empowering others in their journey toward greater well-being is my driving passion.

My goals for you

My ultimate goal is to support and empower you in creating a more fulfilling and happier life. Whether you are facing a temporary setback or a longstanding issue, I am here to help you develop greater self-awareness, build coping skills, improve your relationships, and make meaningful changes. Through our work together, I aim to help you tap into your inherent strengths and resiliency.

My first session with you

During our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and explore your hopes and goals. I will gather some background information and answer any questions you may have about the therapy process. Most importantly, we will begin building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, empathy, and collaboration. You can expect me to listen attentively, offer a fresh perspective, and work with you to develop a tailored plan to support your unique needs and aspirations.
