Accepting new clients for telehealth! Hey there, my name is Breanna and I'm here to help. I work with teens and young adults who are struggling with stress/anxiety, depressive thoughts/feelings, low self-esteem, social/relationship difficulties, career challenges, and life transitions. Life can be hard! I'm here to come alongside you and partner with you to develop new insights, see things from a fresh perspective, challenge you, offer support, learn some effective coping skills, and walk with you on this journey toward feeling better. You deserve to feel better!
My approach
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and have been working as a therapist for 8 years. My approach to therapy involves working from a strengths-based, trauma-informed perspective with aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Positive Psychology.
My focus
I help individuals identify therapy goals that are important to them and provide weekly encouragement, accountability, and collaboration on working towards those goals. My hope is to guide you in making meaningful life changes that you need and desire! Congratulations on taking the first step in this journey. You deserve to feel better!
My communication style
I use an eclectic approach to treatment, pulling ideas and interventions from several different treatment modalities. I am person-centered, meaning I like to meet people where they are at and align with them to provide support in reaching goals that matter to them. I will provide a safe space to process, help you gain perspective, and challenge you when needed. I am here to support you!
My journey to mental healthcare
I have over 8 years of experience helping adolescents and young adults (ages 15-30) in need of support. I'm licensed to provide therapy as an LCSW (licensed clinical social worker) in California and Idaho.
My first session with you
During our initial sessions, we will review your background/history and identify 1-2 therapeutic goals for our time together. Depending on your specific needs and preferences, we may spend future sessions processing significant life events, learning tools to help you manage life's ups and downs, or collaborating on steps you can take to help you feel better. You deserve to feel better!
