Hi! I'm Brionna Morse, LMFT. I have expertise working with adolescents, teens, and their families. I combine CBT, play/art therapy, as well as somatics and breathwork to rewire the nervous system.
My approach
My approach is based on the client. I can easily tell what is needed to help you move forward, and have a tool belt of skills that will take you there!
My focus
I enjoy working with adolescents, teens, and families. I also am knowledgeable and experienced in working with anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and Panic disorders. Grief and loss. As well as life transitions and chronic illness.
My communication style
I have been told I am an expert question-asker who helps you discover your own answers. Apparently, I am able to help you access the "elephant in the room" in a gentle yet direct way, which allows you to move through the barriers and blocks holding you back.
My journey to mental healthcare
I was first drawn to becoming a therapist after working in a level 12 residential facility for children. I loved being a voice for the kids who didn't feel they had one. My own life experiences over the years have led to me being an advocate and example of how healing is possible specifically after divorce, when dealing with a chronic illness, healing anxiety and panic attacks, as well as general life transitions.
My goals for you
I believe goals are very important, and I like to set both small attainable goals, as well as the ones that can be sensed but just not perceived yet. Goal setting is a big part of our work together.
My first session with you
Clients should expect to set some goals and expeditions around what they hope to both experience and achieve during our time together. They can also expect to leave their first session feeling like they have an attainable plan in place with some action steps to move them forward immediately. For any adolescents and teens, parents can expect the first session to be much more light and a time for their child to develop rapport and get to know me.
