My approach
My approach to treatment is client-centered and influenced by Jungian Psychology, Humanistic, and principles of Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy.
My focus
Adults and older adults, and couples. I treat depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, stress-related disorders, family and relational problems. I also use DBT to help clients build effective and solid coping skills.
My communication style
With a warm, caring, and accepting approach, I aim to create a safe environment for clients to connect and build trust to work through any emotional and psychological barriers to achieve their treatment goals.
My journey to mental healthcare
From the time that I remember as a child, I was curious and fascinated with human mind and how it influences relationships and society as a whole. This curiosity to understand human minds as best as I could paired with a natural sense of empathy and caring and a desire to help others when I could only became stronger over time and eventually led to choosing psychology as my profession.
My goals for you
I work collaboratively with clients to engage in a process of identifying and setting up desired goals.
My first session with you
The first session would be an introductory session to get to know one another in a therapeutic context. I would gather relevant information about what brings the client into therapy and answer questions about my professional experience and background while building a sense of trust and safety in the process.
