The first session includes introducing myself to you and learning what prompted you to request therapy. Together with you, I will talk about what you would like to accomplish through therapy. I would then gather historical and present information for the purpose of working with you to create a treatment plan to help your therapy be successful.
My approach
My approach is interactive and results-oriented and I utilize Cognitive-Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Systems, Erickson psychotherapy, guided imagery, and Imago-based Couples Therapy.
My focus
I see adults in individuals, couples, and families with issues including Anxiety, Depression, Intimacy and Relationships, Panic Attacks/ Panic Disorder, and coping with trauma.
My communication style
I want each client to have a safe space where I listen closely with compassion and understanding, and by doing so, work together with you so that the therapy can be successful.
My journey to mental healthcare
From Jr. High School, my friends would come to me for help with problems they were having. After two professional careers in music and the hotel business, I returned to college to learn how to best help people have a better quality of life by being happier. That's what motivated me to become a Marriage and Family therapist.
My goals for you
Working with you together, I will listen to what you want to accomplish through the therapy and create the steps to give you the best chance of succeeding with your goals.
My first session with you
In the first session, I will introduce myself to you, and listen closely to learn about why you decided to begin therapy. Then, we will talk about what steps will help you to resolve the challenges in your life that have been in the way of you being happier; happier within yourself and with others.
