Hi there, I'm Jamie!

My name is Dr. Jamie Mishler and I'm a licensed clinical psychologist with over 10 years experience in the mental health field. I'm passionate about supporting my clients as they grow through life's changes and transitions.

My approach

My approach to therapy is client-centered, collaborative, and strength-based. I use an existential lens to help conceptualize the goals for therapy and work with my client to tailor an individual approach to reach those goals.

My focus

I work with adults over the age of 18. I specialize in helping my clients through life transitions, depression, anxiety, and grief. I focus on my clients' unique strengths as they learn to navigate and grow during periods of challenge.

My communication style

I provide a warm, safe, non-judgmental space for my client to express their thoughts, hopes, and struggles. I listen closely to my clients to understand their experience and allow them to feel heard while I identify ways I can be of service in meeting their goals.

My journey to mental healthcare

I've always been curious about what makes human beings tick. I'm fascinated by the growth we undertake as we progress from each change and transition in our lives.

My goals for you

I approach goal setting very collaboratively. It's critical that treatment goals reflect the individual needs of the client and clients know themselves best. We will work together to create meaningful treatment goals.

My first session with you

The first session will allow us both to gather information and determine if we are a good fit for therapy. I will thoroughly listen to your presenting concerns and explain potential treatment modalities and options that I believe could meet your needs. The client will decide if they feel comfortable with my style and approach and if they would like to continue working together.
