Hi there, I'm Linka!

Dr. Linka Griswold earned her doctorate in clinical forensic psychology from Alliant International University-LA, and a master’s in clinical psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy from Pepperdine University, Malibu. She earned her undergraduate degrees in psychology and advertising from Seaver College, Pepperdine, Malibu. Linka is a licensed marriage and family therapist in California and has over 17 years of combined clinical experience throughout her practica, pre, and post-doc training. In addition to her clinical work, Linka served as a professor of psychology and statistics at several colleges and universities in the Los Angeles area, including Pepperdine University-Malibu and Antioch University Los Angeles. Linka’s clinical training included pre-and post-doctoral internships focused on forensic neuropsychological testing and assessment, research design, and data analysis. She matched and trained with UCLA Santa Monica, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, the Los Angeles County Mental Health, the Pasadena Rehabilitation Institute, and Sharper Future. Before launching her private practice, she served as program director and primary therapist for Promises, Malibu. Linka’s clinical repertoire includes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), EMDR, family systems, psychoanalytic, narrative and solution-focused modalities. Dr. Griswold’s specialties include depression, anxiety, trauma/complex PTSD, dual diagnosis, chronic pain, and relationship issues. She works with clients from all cultures, spiritual-religious backgrounds, genders, and ages. Linka is committed to expanding clinical services to a multicultural client base and plans to work with AUSB to ensure that students and trainees receive a comprehensive clinical training experience that cultivates social justice and celebrates diversity.
