My name is Courtney Green LMFT and I enjoy assisting clients in finding their true potential and life purpose by breaking down barriers caused by and related to mental health symptoms. I have been in the field for over 10 years working with diverse populations and ages. I have worked with individuals suffering from anxiety/depression and those with personality disorders; along with co-occurring substance use disorders.
My approach
I take a collective approach to therapy and apply interventions from various theories such as person-centered, solution-focused, CBT, DBT, trauma-focused, family systems, positive psychology, and more. I am culturally sensitive and take a culturally humble approach in working with diversity.
My focus
I enjoy working with individuals who are looking to better themselves, making improvements in their life, and working on challenging aspects. I work with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, body image, substance use/co-occurring, and personality disorders.
My communication style
I will create a safe nonjudgmental environment for clients to feel comfortable discussing sensitive topics. I will provide a welcoming and calm tone.
My journey to mental healthcare
I found my love for psychology in my first two years of college and followed the path to becoming a therapist. I love getting to know my clients and being a part of their breakthroughs and self-discovery.
My goals for you
I will assist in creating goals that clients feel are applicable to their life and that are realistic and achievable.
My first session with you
Our first session will be a "get to know each other" session where we will have a conversation on the background and current concerns along with strengths. During the first session we will complete the assessment and treatment plan which will consist of gathering information and creating therapeutic goals.
