Hi there, I'm Chad!

Chad Nelson, LMFT: I am trained in providing Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, CBT, and play therapy. I have experience providing school-based therapy, working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families.

My approach

CBT, Trauma-Focused, Client-Centered, Existential, and DBT.

My focus

My experience ranges from treating substance abuse, depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief/loss, personality disorders, and sexual and gender identity.

My communication style

I am very personable, relatable, and focus on building the therapeutic relationship with my clients. Clients report feeling heard, respected, and comfortable.

My journey to mental healthcare

I became a therapist because I lost my father when I was 13 years old to a blood disorder. I wanted to grow up and help people that experienced grief/loss like I experienced.

My goals for you

I focus on solutions and meet clients where they are at by setting realistic goals.

My first session with you

To be welcomed, heard, comfortable, and wanting more therapy.
