I am a trauma-focused therapist who specializes in working with women. With decades of experience, I take a holistic mind-body approach to help my clients build confidence, self-esteem, and healthy coping skills.
My approach
My therapeutic approach combines several modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Strength-Based and Supportive techniques. I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each individual client, with a particular focus on trauma-informed care.
My focus
I specialize in supporting women facing a variety of challenges, such as eating disorders, parenting difficulties, relationship issues, self-esteem struggles, sports performance concerns, and trauma or PTSD. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where my clients feel empowered to heal and grow.
My communication style
You can expect me to be a compassionate, attentive listener who provides support and gentle guidance. I believe in collaborating with my clients and building a strong therapeutic alliance based on trust, respect, and open communication.
My journey to mental healthcare
I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis, which I completed between August 2004 and May 2006. My education and extensive clinical experience have equipped me with the skills and knowledge to effectively support my clients on their healing journeys.
My goals for you
My ultimate goal for you is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, build resilience, and acquire the tools needed to navigate life's challenges with greater ease and confidence. I aim to empower you to lead a fulfilling life aligned with your values and aspirations.
