I am a psychologist with 20 years of clinical experience. My goal is to help you explore obstacles to your growth, gain insight, and provide support and guidance to make necessary changes to alleviate emotional pain, gain self-esteem, and improve your quality of life.
My approach
My approach to therapy involves working together to understand the factors contributing to your distress. I aim to provide support and guidance as you navigate life's challenges, helping you gain insight and make positive changes. My specialty is working with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, cultural issues, ethnic identity, and integrating psychology with Christian faith.
My focus
I focus on working with individual adult clients. My patients often struggle with issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, job stress, relationship issues, self-esteem, cultural stress, racial identity, and spirituality. I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each individual.
My communication style
My communication style is patient, supportive, and non-judgmental. I strive to create a safe, accepting environment where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and emotions. I will listen attentively and provide feedback and guidance with empathy and understanding.
My journey to mental healthcare
I earned my Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology (PhD) degree from Rosemead School of Psychology between August 1997 and August 2002 in La Mirada, CA. My education and clinical training have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to effectively help clients work through their psychological and emotional challenges.
My goals for you
My goals for you are to help alleviate emotional pain, build self-esteem, improve your quality of life, and support you in making positive changes. I aim to empower you with coping skills and insights to navigate life's obstacles and achieve personal growth.
My first session with you
In our first session, I will take time to get to know you and understand your reasons for seeking therapy. We will discuss your background, current concerns, and goals for treatment. This session allows us to establish a therapeutic relationship and develop a plan tailored to your specific needs. I will provide a supportive, non-judgmental space for you to share your story.
