Hello there, I'm Uriahn Delgado! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who strives to meet you where you are in life. My approach is client-centered. I have a specific history of working with clients with anxiety, depression, loss, and trauma.
My approach
My approach will vary depending on where the client is in time. I tend to focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. You are the expert with your experiences and these approaches will help guide you to the ultimate goal.

My style and approach have provided support to teens, young adults, and the elderly. This population may be impacted by specific transitions such as anxiety, education, stress, and confidence. I work with clients to view events from a different perspective that will impact them moving forward.
My communication style
My communication style is personable, calming, and encouraging. I strive to give you a safe space in order to build rapport.
My journey to mental healthcare
I decided to become a therapist in order to help people be able to process their emotions. Growing up and within my culture, expressing one's emotions was not encouraged. I have naturally been interested in helping others through difficult events. I enjoy helping others view events from a different perspective as they continue to heal.
My goals for you
My approach will be to hear you out first. If there are specific goals you would like to focus on we will work together to get you there. If you are needing help coming up with a goal we will brainstorm together as well.
My first session with you
During our first session, we will spend the majority of the time talking about what brought you to therapy. I will try to engage as much as possible so that you can be comfortable. I will continue to listen and build rapport as we end off best steps moving forward.
