Hi there, I'm Soraya!

Hello, I'm Soraya Wilder, LPCC, Licensed Therapist, a dedicated and compassionate therapist committed to supporting individuals on their journey toward healing and personal growth. With many years of experience in counseling and a deep understanding of various therapeutic modalities, I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their challenges, cultivate self-awareness, and achieve positive change.

My approach

In my therapy practice, I take an integrative approach, drawing from a variety of evidence-based techniques tailored to each client's needs. Common approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, mindfulness practices, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Through collaboration and a strong therapeutic alliance, I aim to empower clients to achieve their goals and promote lasting positive change.

My focus

I work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, teens, and families. I specialize in treating conditions such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, grief and loss, trauma, chronic pain, and communication problems. Additionally, I offer parenting coaching and support for navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, and personal growth. My approach is client-centered and collaborative, focusing on empowering individuals and families to overcome obstacles and achieve their therapeutic goals.

My communication style

In my therapy sessions, I strive to create a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel supported and heard. I approach each session with empathy, compassion, and genuine curiosity, fostering a sense of trust and collaboration. Clients often describe the atmosphere as welcoming and conducive to open dialogue, allowing them to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment or criticism. My goal is to create a therapeutic space where clients feel empowered to share openly, gain insight, and work towards positive change in their lives.

My journey to mental healthcare

My own journey with ADHD, autoimmune disorder, chronic pain, and mental health struggles has deeply influenced my path toward becoming a therapist. Having navigated these challenges firsthand, I understand the profound impact they can have on one's well-being and sense of self. This personal experience ignited my passion for helping others facing similar obstacles, driving me to pursue a career dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey to healing and resilience. I am inspired by the opportunity to offer empathy, understanding, and evidence-based interventions to empower clients in overcoming adversity and reclaiming their lives. As someone who has walked a similar path, I am committed to fostering hope, resilience, and positive change in the lives of those I serve.

My goals for you

In goal setting, I collaborate with clients to establish clear, achievable objectives that are aligned with their values and aspirations. We prioritize goals based on urgency and feasibility, ensuring a focused and effective approach. Throughout therapy, we regularly review progress, adjust goals as needed, and celebrate achievements together. This client-centered approach fosters motivation, accountability, and meaningful change.

My first session with you

During a first session with me, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where they will have the opportunity to share their concerns, goals, and reasons for seeking therapy. We'll begin by discussing confidentiality and the therapeutic process, followed by an exploration of the client's background, current challenges, and expectations for therapy. I'll listen attentively, ask relevant questions, and work collaboratively with the client to develop a shared understanding of their needs and goals. By the end of the session, clients can expect to feel heard, validated, and empowered to take the next steps towards their journey of healing and growth.
