Hello there! My name is Hannah Leib, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am passionate about working with adolescents, teens, and adults. Through utilizing a positive psychology framework, my goal is to support my clients in growing healthy and trusting relationships with themselves. My primary focus is helping my clients grow and build on their self-esteem, in that they can thrive and glow in their present life (healthy relationships/ friendships) and in their future.
My approach
I utilize components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, motivational interviewing, and positive psychology to best understand and promote my client's well-being. Every individual is different and has different strengths and weaknesses to work through. I provide a safe space for my client to explore their strengths and be proud of who they are, while also helping them work through challenges and their weaknesses.
My focus
I am most comfortable working with teens and young adults (16-30). I have experience working with anxiety, ADHD, OCD, and Eating disorders.
My communication style
I am a positive and energetic person. I have an upbeat and warm personality.
My journey to mental healthcare
I began a mental health support group at my college, which grew over the years. I absolutely loved the work, and help to promote the well-being of my peers on campus. I then went on to do a Fulbright Scholarship in Bulgaria and help high school students there increase conversation about mental health. I have struggled throughout my early adulthood with OCD and anorexia, and therapy helped me immensely. I loved the journey of being a client, and it taught me so much about what makes a good therapist. I graduated with my Masters of Social Work from USC in 2020, and have been in the field ever since!
My goals for you
To feel supported, and identify goals they want to work on.
My first session with you
I always start my first session by having my client think about what goals they have for themselves and what they are prioritizing.
