Hello, my name is Kesia C. LCSW. I have served the minority community through community outreach by providing the necessary support to those who are neglected, underserved, and in need of psychosocial healing. By working to eliminate psychosocial barriers and support healing, I eagerly strive toward timely intervention for both the individual and family. I help individuals and families of all ethnicities and backgrounds to achieve mental stability and awareness of self. Now serving Teens, Couples, Individuals, and Families.
My approach
The focused treatment/intervention approaches are CBT, MI, Narrative Therapy, SFBT, Coaching Distress Trauma, Strength Based. Anxiety Interventions, Grief & Loss Treatment. Patient-centered approach starting where the client is at. Homework and accountability.
My focus
I provide assistance in Mental Health, Domestic Violence, Drug & Alcohol, Homelessness, HIV, Sex Trafficking, Grief & Loss, Divorce, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Biblical Counseling, Trauma, Ex-Offenders, Anger Management and Veterans. Additionally, Psychotherapy Services for Individuals, Groups, Families, Adults, and Adolescents. Passionate about helping others I am committed to those I serve.
My communication style
Monotone-regulated environment, freeing, open, safe space. It feels like a release of the old behaviors/patterns and a fresh wind of newness. Leaving the past and pressing towards a positive future in newness.
My journey to mental healthcare
After having personally navigated my own trials and tribulations. I discovered the power of my voice and decided to use my heart for healing and advocacy to help others as they navigate their own mental health journey. Wanting to better educate myself, I went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Corrections. I later obtained a Master’s in Social Work with a focus in Children, Youth, & Family with a minor in Mental Health. Now as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I thrive on seeing individuals healed and set free from behaviors and patterns that do not belong to them.
