I have been a licensed psychologist for more than 30 years and I have a great deal of experience with helping people gain perspective, insight, and clarity. I provide honest input to enable you to move forward, feel comfortable, and be satisfied with your life direction. I believe in helping adults facilitate solutions to their problems and challenging situations and develop alternatives to their ineffective problem-solving methods and coping skills. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and a Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluator.
My approach
My approach is problem-focused and direct, using a cognitive behavioral treatment modality.. I provide telehealth services to adults from a variety of backgrounds who have a wide variety of problems or situations with which they want assistance. I will listen to you carefully and make sure that you feel heard and understood. I will work with you as a partner in defining your needs. I will also assist you in locating resources as needed. My office hours are currently on Saturday.

I work with clients with a variety of concerns including forensic, aging, depression, anxiety, trauma, and psychosis

My journey to mental healthcare
From my first day of college, I knew that I wanted to become a therapist. I went straight through college and graduate school, taking a break only to complete a pre-doctoral fellowship. I have practiced in a number of different settings ignorer to gain a breadth of experience, including psychiatric hospitals, universities, forensic settings, and in program administration.
My goals for you
Goal setting is accomplished as a partnership and focuses on the needs and desires of my clients. My role is one of clarifying and offering alternative/additional suggesting.
My first session with you
The first thing that is required is housekeeping due to the requirements of the telehealth environment. I will make sure that you know how to contact me between appointments We will then delve into the reasons that you requested therapy and together determine the approaches that you are likely to find most effective. I will ensure that you feel heard and understood at each step along the way so taht you feel safe and comfortable..
