Hi there, I'm Jill!

Hello there! Thank you for taking the time to review my profile. My name is Jill Di Carlo and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT42656) in California since 2005. I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with you and support your efforts in creating positive change in your life, as you define it.

My approach

My therapeutic approach is strength-based, trauma-informed, solution-focused, and person-centered. Interventions include but are not limited to, utilizing theoretical approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, and skill building, resulting in increased confidence in resourcing a sense of safety, satisfaction, and connection.

My focus

I am currently working with adults, 18+, who are experiencing challenges such as relationship conflicts, family issues, codependency, and symptoms of depression and/or anxiety.

My communication style

My professional mission is to serve as a catalyst for positive change in the lives of those I serve with compassion, curiosity, and creativity.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to becoming a therapist was and continues to be, fueled by a strong personal desire to engage in activities that help reduce unnecessary suffering in the world. I am inspired by the strengths of those I serve, especially when witnessing them choose courage over fear in order to experience life with increased peace, contentment, and love. That simply makes my day!

My goals for you

Goal setting is an important part of the healing process and it starts with the first session. You will be able to identify what you would like to accomplish in therapy with SMART goals that are specific, measurable, action-oriented, realistic and time-bound.

My first session with you

My goal from day one will be to establish a trusting, nonjudgmental, therapeutic relationship with you that creates a safe space for hope, honesty, choice, and courage. I will learn about the challenges you are facing, inquire about your strengths to address those challenges and collaborate with you on a plan of action that best fits your needs.
