My name is Aimee Elder and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years experience in the health and mental health fields. I have experience working with individuals of various ages including the intellectually disabled. I am a Christian.
My approach
I believe in starting where the client is. I adhere to a whole person-centered approach by addressing problems and issues from a bio, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual perspective and how these systems impact the client.
My focus
I work mostly with adults including seniors. I am comfortable in treating health, depression, anxiety, coping, and grief issues.
My communication style
I believe in providing an atmosphere of trust and respect where the client feels relaxed, valued, heard, and comfortable sharing information. I am here to provide a service to support them and help them achieve their goals.
My journey to mental healthcare
Being a therapist is a rewarding and exciting career. Each case is unique and problems must be addressed on an individual basis and customized to the client's needs. This is what has driven me in my over 20 years in the field. I love how it is dynamic and active where a therapist is pushed to be challenged and moved to grow.

I approach goal-setting by asking the clients what they would like to achieve in counseling.
My first session with you
After we have completed the initial evaluation, the clients can expect that during the first session, we will identify long-term goals and objectives for treatment.
