Hi there, I'm Joyce!

As a California-based therapist with over 18 years of experience in the mental health field, I am dedicated to helping clients lead happy and fulfilling lives. I graduated from Chapman University and California State University, Fullerton with an MA in Psychology.

My approach

My therapeutic approach combines Mindful, Holistic, and Cognitive Behavioral techniques. I work with clients to explore the origins of self-limiting beliefs that often affect how they feel about themselves. Through our sessions, I aim to empower and propel clients towards positive change.

My focus

I specialize in helping individuals with Depression, Anxiety, Stress Management, Feelings of Self Worth, and ADHD. Additionally, I have experience working with those afflicted with Persistent Mental Illnesses. Seasoned Citizens (elderly) too!

My communication style

I strive to create a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship with my clients. Through active listening, empathy, and clear communication, we will work together to identify goals and develop practical strategies to achieve them.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey in mental healthcare began with a deep desire to help others overcome personal challenges and lead more fulfilling lives. Pursuing my education in psychology at Chapman University and CSU Fullerton provided me with a strong foundation in various therapeutic techniques. Over the past 18 years, I have honed my skills and expertise to better serve my clients' diverse needs.

My goals for you

My primary goal is to help you develop the tools and insights needed to navigate life's challenges with greater ease and confidence. Together, we will work to identify and change negative thought patterns, build coping skills, and foster a stronger sense of self-worth. I am committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions, and ultimately achieve your goals for personal growth and well-being.

My first session with you

During our first session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and your goals for our work together. I will take the time to listen to your story and gain a deeper understanding of your unique experiences and challenges. We will also discuss my therapeutic approach and how it can be tailored to best support you on your journey. This initial meeting is an opportunity for us to build rapport and ensure that we are a good fit to work together towards achieving your goals.
