Bettina Ervin

I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and I also have my doctorate in nursing practice. I’m looking forward to connecting with you! My expertise is in working with folks ages 18 and up who need help using medication to manage their mental health. Mental health is a lifelong journey, not a sprint and the treatment plan that we come up with will focus on creating a sustained positive impact on your overall health.

My approach

My approach to psychiatric care is to work with you to figure out what your goals are. We will use these goals to explore treatment options and make sure you are fully bought in for the journey. I can’t always promise that it will be comfortable, but we will make a plan and put in the work necessary to get you to the place you want to be.

My focus

I typically work with individuals ages 13+ and have experience with a wide range of issues including anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, depression, impulsivity, gender identity, and anger management.

My communication style

We’ll discuss lifestyle and other factors that can be monitored/changed to ensure that you are on the right path. I believe in a holistic approach and while mental health medication is an invaluable tool to help along the way, there are many other helpful tools.

My first session with you

To ensure we have a productive first visit, please be sure to fill out your intake form in advance! During our first visit, we will complete a full mental health assessment and evaluation. There will be lots of questions during this visit, especially regarding your medical and mental health history. Once we have completed your evaluation, we can then discuss a treatment plan specific to your needs that will get you on the road to feeling better as soon as possible!
