My name is Dan Banaitis, LMFT specializing in the treatment of anxiety and depression as well as treating adolescents and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I also work with couples, families and provide pre-marital counseling.
My approach
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to treat individuals, couples, and families having difficulty coping with the stress and anxiety of adjusting to difficult changes in life.
My focus
I work with anxious and depressed clients that are highly motivated to make positive changes in their lives by engaging fully in the therapeutic process. I work with adult clients with ASD experiencing challenges with the social and emotional aspects of life. I am also pursuing certification as a Sex Addiction Specialist (CSAT) and can help clients suffering from sexual addictions.
My communication style
I work at the client's pace and encourage very open communication in the safe space of the therapeutic office. When you work with me you feel like you are speaking with a good friend or family member that has your best interests at heart.

I can make real positive changes in the lives of people by using a scalpel or prescribing medication.
My goals for you
I base goals on clients' values and what has the most meaning for them in life. I encourage small steps each day. I ask them to only focus on the problems of today and let tomorrow's problems be dealt with tomorrow.
My first session with you
The first session with me is a get-to-know-you rapport-building session. I want the client to feel fully heard and understood before moving into the treatment phase.
