My focus
David has specialized experience in counseling those participating in medication-assisted treatment such as methadone and suboxone, and his prior military, medical, teaching, and coaching experience allows him to diversify therapeutic approaches as evidenced by his experience with trauma, disordered eating, personalities, substance abuse, career, anxiety, depression, weight management/fitness and others.

My journey to mental healthcare
From an early age, I knew I wanted to work in helping professions. I have spent time in medical and nurse assisting, laboratory technology, massage therapy, teaching, coaching, and many others. I am most passionate about a counselor/therapist role as it allows me to facilitate growth in others so that they may reclaim power in their lives. Having witnessed a large amount of untreated mental health conditions in my lifetime, I wish to aid in preventing build-up of stress that negatively impacts lives.

My first session with you
In the first meeting, I will ask many questions to obtain the necessary information to understand the client's unique experience and needs. The client will also have a platform to share their story freely to promote a positive narrative, self-image, and rapport building.
