My communication style
I use open communication with my clients. I allow my clients to be stakeholders in the treatment process. I include my clients in the decision-making process, ask them how they are doing in the treatment process, and allow them to have access to the therapist.
My journey to mental healthcare
I came from a humble beginning in my life. I worked in all different types of jobs. Along my journey, I learned about myself and that led me to work in the social service field in various jobs in which I got a job in a Psychiatric Hospital. I had a great mentor who got me to start seeing patients. What drives me to my work is getting patients better and enhancing their quality of life.
My goals for you
The goal-setting process includes the clients having input in setting goals. I use an open approach to discussing treatment options with the clients and draw upon the client's expertise and experience in the treatment process.
My first session with you
The client should expect in the first session for the therapist to be open to the client's service issue. The therapist will allow the client to open up and talk about the issues that brought them into treatment. The therapist will work to make the client feel like the most important person in the room.
