My approach

Hello, Thank you for considering therapy as a step in your life journey! As a therapist, I hope to help you with your needs using a practical strength-based method. We all have strengths that can be used while facing life's challenges. I mostly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) but use other approaches when it is more beneficial.

Depression, anxiety, mood disorders, domestic violence, substance abuse, trauma, and other concerns.

My communication style

I have an encouraging communication style! I help a client believe in themself and encourage clients. I believe in straightforward communication using common layperson terms instead of psychological jargon.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to becoming a therapist was achieved later in life after deciding I really wanted a career that was helpful to others and meaningful to myself. I enjoy listening and helping others process emotions and make sense of their thoughts.

I work with clients, so we work on clients' goals, not mine. We can set your goals and discuss steps to achieve them. At any time, we can re-set or change goals based on the client's identified goals.
