Hi there, I'm Raenissa (Noe)!

Aloha! My name is Raenissa, but I go by Noe. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and have been practicing within the field of Social Work for approximately 20 years. My work experience has primarily been with children and families in the Wai’anae and Kapolei areas, although my employment experience has given me the opportunity to serve many different populations — individuals and families — from Kahala to Kahuku to Ka’ena and most everywhere in between.

My approach

My approach to therapy is one that is relational, supportive, and forward-focused. Although a variety of therapeutic modalities can be used during sessions, it is essential for me to hear YOUR story, YOUR thoughts, and YOUR feelings; making sure you are heard and and your feelings are validated. My goal is to help you discover and/or reclaim the strength, courage, and resilience that already exists within.

My focus

Currently, my focus is on working with individuals who, on the outside, seem to carry their burdens well — yet on the inside, grapple with the challenges of anxiety, burnout, and overwhelmment. I am intentional about creating and holding space where these hidden struggles can be explored and addressed; offering support and guidance to navigate the complexities and fostering a path towards resilience and improved well-being.

My communication style

My communication style is genuine, warm, and relatable — yet activating and empowering. My hope is that every individual departs therapy feeling uplifted — knowing that they have been genuinely seen, valued, and heard. I look forward to journeying with you — towards better and brighter, as you breathe life into all that lays dormant and as you live up to your truest and most authentic self. The best is definitely yet to come.

My journey to mental healthcare

Noelani (or Noe for short) is originally from North Kohala, Hawaii Island — where she was born and raised throughout her early childhood. Born to teenage parents, Noe understands the hardships that can come along with having to grow up at an expedited rate — at times experiencing food, financial and housing insecurities. In spite of these hardships, Noe’s passion has always been to help people. Whether it was giving away her allowance to a homeless person or peer counseling friends at school (Eō Kamehameha!) — working with people, listening to their stories and helping them get to a better place has always been an innate joy and gift. Noe currently resides on the island of Oahu with her amazing husband and two beautiful keiki. She attended Azusa Pacific University and The University of Hawaii at Mānoa. It was there that she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Social Work. Two years post graduation, Noe earned the distinction of Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Noe has been practicing within the Field of Social Work for approximately 20 years and counts each day as a blessing. Her work experience has primarily been with children and families in the Wai’anae and Kapolei areas, although her employment experience has given her the opportunity to serve many different populations — individuals and families — from Kahala to Kahuku to Ka’ena and most everywhere in between. Noe has a huge heart to help and serve those in our pae ‘āina (islands) — beginning in the most underserved communities and outwards.
