Everyone needs someone to listen, which is why I approach therapy as an empathetic and realistic conversation geared toward helping clients feel better. My focus areas include Adults, Individuals, Couples, Depression, Anxiety, and Addiction. This provider resides in Hawaii.
My approach
I approach therapy in a relaxed manner in order to help clients feel at ease when sharing personal details with a complete stranger. The most common theoretical approach I use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in order to establish a baseline. Once I become more familiar with a client, I adjust approaches based on their individual needs.
My focus
My clients are tired of being unhappy and ready to make a change. I specialize in Couples going through relationship challenges, Adults suffering from Depression or Anxiety, those struggling with Addiction, and anyone else who needs to talk to someone. I am also only looking to work with adult women clients.
My communication style
My clients describe me as an insightful listener who creates a judgment-free environment in which I treat people respectfully as individuals. Together we explore what brought them to therapy, work towards helping change what can be changed and finding resolve with what can't.
My journey to mental healthcare
I became a therapist because I recognize the harmful impacts negative thoughts and emotions can have on a person, and I want to help you work through those for a happier future.
My goals for you
Goal setting is a collaborative effort between the client and therapist. Clients are asked what they would like to get out of therapy, and measurable goals are determined from their responses.
My first session with you
Aside from the required administrative tasks, the first session ends with clients being asked this question: Imagine yourself at the end of your therapeutic journey, where you feel ready to move on. What does that look like? How will you feel and what will we have accomplished together? The answers will inform and direct our work together.
