My name is Angela Jackson and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Oahu, Hawaii, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults, adolescents, and veterans with special attention to anxiety, depression, trauma, and transition using an approach that is eclectic and rooted in Solution-Focused therapy to help my clients meet their needs and establish goals. This provider resides in Hawaii.
My approach
I have come to adopt a counseling approach that is eclectic derived from cognitive-behavioral, narrative, person-centered, and, solution-focused therapies. This integrative counseling approach strives to balance mindful awareness, fosters genuine empathetic relationships, and enriches our collaborative effort in identifying what changes can be made to identify and minimize any challenges you may be facing

My journey to mental healthcare
During my time in military service, I had come to recognize a need for alternative support for myself and my peer. In this, I decided to pursue a career in counseling so as to meet a need that was not only necessary but personal. So I like to say therapy chose me!

My first session with you
The first session serves as a time where we 'get to know' one another! In our time we will discuss your current needs and concerns. We will work to build a working relationship by exploring some historic events and experiences while also planning and forecasting toward your future goals.
