Hi, my name is Lindsey Hoffman, I am a licensed clinical social worker. I specialize in working with people that have experienced trauma, postpartum mood disorders, ADHD, depression, and anxiety. I see my role as meeting you where you are, listening to you, and offering support to you along the way. This provider resides in Hawaii.
My approach
Together we will explore your current strengths, concerns, and needs and develop your goals for working together. I use a variety of approaches that fit best to what you are experiencing such as EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), mindfulness, and solution-focused.
My focus
I have worked people with across the lifespan. I started my career as a therapist working with very young children. I have since expanded to primarily working with adolescents and adults. I have experience working with individuals from a variety of different backgrounds such as military members and their families,
My communication style
My communication style is calm and laid back. I want my clients to feel as comfortable as possible to have a safe place to talk about what they are experiencing.
My goals for you
I set goals with clients early on in our time together, and check in often on progress towards those goals
My first session with you
In the first session, I like to get to know you outside of what you are experiencing with your mental health to see what strengths and resources you already possess. I give space for you to ask any questions you may have about me, my approach, or therapy in general. We would spend the remainder of the session creating goals for working together
