My approach to therapy is to meet clients where they are at. My focus of practice is to lift the client's mood, decrease anxiety, teach new coping skills, and build self-esteem. This provider resides in Hawaii.

I enjoy EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Practice with DBT, and other approaches that align with my clients.
My focus
I typically work with clients ages 12 -85 that are having adjustment concerns due to relationship problems, grief/loss, depression, and anxiety. I enjoy working with everyone who just needs someone to talk with about life challenges.
My communication style
I create a safe and calm environment for my clients as I listen to their needs and goals for therapy.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey started when my sister was diagnosed with cancer. She was my best friend and the thought of losing her was unbearable. I was traumatized when she died! With the help of an awesome LCSW and therapy, I was able to be at peace with her passing. I also worked with various vulnerable populations (children/teens, defendants in the criminal justice system, and clients of racial disparities). I'm driven to help anyone that wants therapy!
My goals for you
I like to see clients feel better after my first session. Depending on the client's situation and their environment it could take two-three sessions for clients to feel better.
My first session with you
Clients can expect a release/relief of emotions during our first session. This may be with tears, anger, and voicing frustration about life's circumstances.
