At Opulence Mind Counseling and Consulting LLC, I believe people can change. As a licensed clinical professional counselor, I define my role as helping individuals or groups of people identify the loose puzzle pieces of their personal narrative that is causing very challenging and complicated personal issues. My name is Kimberly Lefebre. I work with clients and help them discover ways to cope with feelings of anxiousness, guilt, insecurity, shame, regret, anger, loss, and even chronic physical pain that brought about strong feelings of brokenness. Some of my clients just need that extra support in medical medication management. No one should be expected to handle difficult times alone. I help my clients every step of the way.
My approach
I have experience treating people in careers that are expected to deal with life threatening situations, hold leadership or management positions who are experiencing stress and burn out. Many of my clients are professionals feeling unsuccessful at meeting the demands of their job and couples experiencing relationship challenges.
My focus
My practice provides services to various populations. Because of my earlier career as an educator and coach, I blend my experience, certifications, and training with helping frustrated professionals, parents and teens balance home, school, work, and family. I believe that goal setting acts as a roadmap for anyone to follow when it comes to overcoming challenges and achieving things in life. These goals are guidelines when it comes to helping my clients make positive changes. A big part of the counseling process involves enhancing my client’s ability to cope.
My communication style
Individuals and groups I have worked with in the past have stated that my approach to treating has enhanced their desire to change, improved their quality of life, including better productivity, closer social connections, higher educational achievement, and overall improved relationships. My style of communication all starts with emotional regulation and active listening. The entire process starts with meeting people where they are at and communicating that change is possible.
My journey to mental healthcare
I discovered through my years as an educator and athletic coach that I wanted to be mental health therapist because I have skills that align with the position, such as communication and empathy. In everything I have done throughout my life, my desire has always been to engage in meaningful work that can make a significant impact on others.
My goals for you
I start with learning what they want to get out of the counseling or therapeutic process. What does the client believe is inhibiting them from achieving this? What are their expectations? What are their motivations are for making said changes?
My first session with you
During the first initial counseling sessions, I will spend time getting to know the client. The initial session is also an opportunity to get to know me. I believe the rapport between a myself and the client is critical. Rapport can take time to build, so it is necessary to determine whether it is a good fit.
