Hi there, I'm Barbara!

Every individual has the right to feel safe, to feel loved, feel emotional peace… and achieve personal success. I help individuals find the balance necessary to heal. I work with teens, adults, and couples who are dealing with challenges such as anxiety, grief, trauma, and/or relationship issues. I specialize in helping women navigate through life transitions and treating individuals who have experienced trauma. If requested, I can incorporate Christian principles and faith-based practices into sessions. I am trained in administering the Prepare & Enrich assessment, and I am a certified SYMBIS couples assessment facilitator. My overall goal is individual and/or family empowerment through emotional regulation, trauma integration, relationship building, and psycho-social education (skill building). I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I received my Master's Degree in 2006 from North Carolina State University, and I have been in practice for over 13 years. With humor, compassion, and integrity, I honor the unique path of everyone I work with, creating a safe place to explore and seek emotional peace and well-being.
