Not currently accepting patients

Hi there, I'm Sherman!

I am a practicing psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience working with adults and adolescents dealing with a wide range of mental health issues. My clinical insight has been honed through practice in unique settings including schools, psychiatric centers, residential campuses, and my current outpatient practice.

My approach

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is the primary approach in my clinical toolbox, which I consider to be expansive and flexible. I incorporate supportive and effective elements from other modalities as needed to tailor treatment to each individual's needs.

My focus

I work with individuals struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, addiction, anger management, relationship conflicts, grief, trauma, low self-esteem, and more. My specialties include treating teens and adults.

My communication style

My communication style aims to be clear, direct, and empathetic. I believe in collaborating closely with patients to identify goals, build coping skills, and work through challenges. Providing a safe, non-judgmental space is a priority.

My journey to mental healthcare

The catalyst that prompted my mental healthcare journey was a desire to provide supportive assistance to others in their efforts to establish and maintain stability, with regard to their mental health.

My goals for you

Through our work together, my goal is to help you gain insight, learn effective strategies to manage your struggles, heal from past wounds, improve your relationships, and ultimately enhance your overall well-being and quality of life. I'm here to support you in building the meaningful life you desire.

My first session with you

In our first session, we'll discuss what's bringing you to therapy and collaboratively explore your hopes and goals. I'll gather some background information to better understand your unique story. Most importantly, we'll begin building the trust and rapport that will serve as the foundation of our therapeutic relationship. You'll have a safe space to share your concerns and ask any questions you may have about the therapy process.
