Hi there, I'm Monica!

Hello! I'm Monica Hart, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) based outside of Charlotte, NC. I work statewide via telehealth to support clients on their journey to wellness. I work with children, adolescents, and adults that may need assistance with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, grief, and other mental health concerns.

My approach

My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from evidence-based modalities tailored to meet your unique needs. I believe in fostering a strong therapeutic alliance built on trust, empathy, and respect. I utilize several modalities including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, solutions-focused, strength-based psychotherapy along with art and play therapy.

My focus

I provide individual therapy for adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, grief, and personal development. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by work or school, experiencing family dynamic difficulties, or facing personal challenges, I offer a safe and non-judgmental space where we can explore your concerns and work towards sustainable solutions.

My communication style

My goal is to provide you with an unbiased, warm, and confidential environment where you feel heard and supported. I will offer therapeutic tools to address your challenges effectively. By bringing clarity to your experiences, we can work towards positive change. Together, we will set achievable goals and monitor your progress, celebrating every step towards your goals.

My goals for you

With over 15 years of experience in multiple mental health settings, I believe in meeting people where they are. Life's challenges can be overwhelming, and seeking help is a courageous step toward personal growth and healing. We will collaboratively explore barriers you're facing, uncover underlying patterns that might be hindering your progress and create ways to face these goals head-on!

My first session with you

Initial sessions will include introductions, addressing the importance of confidentiality and the therapeutic journey while also covering any questions you may have prior to beginning. I will inquire about the reasons for seeking therapy and any personal concerns you may have. You deserve to lead a fulfilling and joyful life. Let's work together to make that happen!
