Hi! My name is Meghan Gallagher, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience. I am currently working via telehealth throughout New York State. I work with adults and specialize in anxiety, depression, stress, and loss. My holistic practice is client and strength-based focused, and I utilize a range of evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Mindfulness Interventions.

My therapeutic approach is very specific to each client and what their needs and goals are. I focus on their individual strengths and create a safe space to explore various frameworks to see what best suits each individual. I commonly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

I work with adults of all ages as they navigate various life stressors and transitions. We work on building skills, improving support systems, and developing self-care and mindfulness practices. I assist my clients in developing a better outlook on life and improving relationships.

My approach to goal setting with clients is working together to determine what you would like to accomplish. Each goal is client-centered, supportive, realistic, and achievable. We'll work together in selecting meaningful goals.
My first session with you
In our first session, my goal is to create a safe place for you to be able to describe how you are feeling and what brought you to therapy. I hope to build a connection and really listen to how you are currently experiencing your life. We'll then work together to make a plan on how to move forward.
