Mark Reed, LPCC-S, NCC, has worked extensively with patients dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, family issues, marriage and couples, substance use, trauma, and adolescent issues. Mark always seeks to understand the individual (s) and work collaboratively with his clients.
My approach
The most common approaches to therapy I use are CBT, Person-Centered, Strength-based, Solution Focus, Trauma, Family Systems, and Narrative.
My focus
I have worked with various individuals, couples, and families. who suffer from Anxiety, depression, stress, anger, grief, trauma, adolescent issues, marriage/couples, and families.
My communication style
I strive to create a setting of non-judgmental positive regard in which the client can safely share their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
My journey to mental healthcare
For the first 25 years of my working career, I served as a youth minister and a senior pastor, during which I conducted multiple pastoral counseling sessions. I loved counseling so much that I switched gears and became a full-time mental health counselor returning to university and earning the licenses necessary to practice professionally. I love people and want to serve people.
