Hello my name is Kelly Cioletti and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker as well as a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor. I have over 10 years of experience treating individuals with mental illness and substance use disorders. My approach is very person centered and my goal is to meet my patient where they are at!
My approach
I utilize a multitude of techniques such as: mindfulness, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, strengths based therapy, solution focused therapy, and therapeutic interventions.
My focus
My background is in adults ages 18 and older. I have worked with all areas/spectrums of adult mental health and substance use disorders from an inpatient setting to outpatient and private practice settings. I area of expertise is Co-Occurring disorders (mental health and substance use disorders combined). I also have extensive experience in Anxiety and Depression. I am also a recovering alcoholic (10+ years in recovery). My ability to relate too and treat Substance Use Disorders allow me a level of connection and comfort with my clients that I think they find to be incredibly safe and supportive.
My communication style
I enjoy working in a bright but quiet space with little distractions. My voice/tone pretty normal and I am one that will typically look to the client to guide the space/tone of the session depending on the topic and discussion points.
My journey to mental healthcare
I decided to change career paths after getting sober! I wanted to spend my life helping others, paying it forward, and enjoying my career! Not hating what I did everyday!
My goals for you
I like to ask the client what their goals are! I want therapy to be client centered and driven. If the client doesn't necessarily have a specific goal in mind, we can talk through it and figure out what one might look like.
My first session with you
Our first session will be an assessment/series of questions and building rapport with one another.
