Along the way, we have our share of positive and negative experiences. Sometimes we need help to get us through difficult times. As a licensed therapist, I offer tools and guided support to help you experience a better journey. I take a person-centered, solution-focused approach to therapy, and my goal is to meet you where you are and help you move farther along the path toward your goals. I graduated from the University of Georgia in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in educational psychology and a minor in rehabilitation counseling. In 1995 I earned my Master of Education in rehabilitation counseling and marriage and family therapy. I have been in active practice as a therapist in a variety of settings for over 27 years. Through my varied experience and work settings, I have been introduced to many different cultures, learning from all of my clients and growing as a therapist.
My approach
I like to meet the client where they are at, ie, approach their unique needs with an approach that best fits their' therapeutic needs, including but not limited to person-centered, solution-focused, narrative, and trauma resolution.
My focus
I really enjoy working with clients that are open to introspection and self-reflection, wanting and ready to make changes to their life resulting in less conflict and pain with more positive, happy, and healthy relationships and life satisfaction.
My communication style
While I am told I bring to the process energy and openness, I also approach my clients with a positive and supportive demeanor, calm and comforting.
