With over 20 years of experience in the Social Service field, I pride myself on my dedication to the safety, well-being, and stabilization of the children, adults, and families that I work with. My creativity allows me to utilize a series of treatment modalities to assist in successfully empowering my clients while meeting their psychological needs.
My approach
My approach is non-judgmental, client-focused, and strength-based, which encourages my clients to freely engage in the planning and goal identification of their own treatment.
My focus
I am comfortable with a wide range of mental health challenges. A few modalities that I specialize in are Psycho-Educational, Play, Sand Tray, Accelerated Resolution, Solution Focused, Internal Family Systems, and brain-spotting.
My communication style
I am very inviting and utilize an open approach in treatment. I have been informed that I am "Easy to talk to, a good listener, and very helpful."
My journey to mental healthcare
I am 1 of 12 children, raised by a single mother in New York City. Growing up, life was a challenge for me. However, I always found safety and comfort with the social workers that came into my life to help my family. With the understanding that I can be helpful to persons and families in need since I was a young girl, I knew that Social Work would be my lifelong field. Today, I am driven by the success rates of my clients. I enjoy helping people accomplish their goals in an effort to maintain safety and balance in life.
My goals for you
Goal setting is a collaborative task, with open communication, acceptance, and understanding.
My first session with you
During the first session, clients can expect to share thoughts and feelings while learning my style of communication and rapport building. I often meet the client where he/she is and find it more inviting to discuss whatever the client is most comfortable discussing at that time.
