My name is Debbie Anderson, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who has been practicing in the behavioral health field for the past 13 years. I specialize primarily in the treatment of trauma, depression, and anxiety, but have also helped individuals diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder, and Schizophrenia.
My approach
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and EMDR, and have spent the majority of my adult life developing and authenticating my skills to help those in need. I am very passionate about the work I do and believe that all have the power within them to heal and recover, whatever that might look like.
My focus
I specialize in the treatment of adults struggling with symptoms and emotional disturbances related to complex trauma, depression, and anxiety. Using an integrative approach, I help others with overcoming obstacles in their lives that are preventing them from achieving their goals and dreams, and from having the life they so desire.
My communication style
I believe in transparency, and always strive to be open and honest with my clients. Integrity and humility are two of my greatest values, and I believe in meeting the client wherever he or she is currently at in his or her life.
My journey to mental healthcare
My own life experiences have shown me how hard the struggle can be to overcome trauma and depression, but how powerful the release and freedom can be when recovery is achieved, and those chains are removed allowing for the pursuit of goals and dreams. I consider myself your travel guide on your journey and will be here to help you hopefully navigate any obstacles or barriers that might be preventing you from moving forward with your life, and living out your own goals and dreams. As David Richo said, "Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us."
