Hi there, I'm Elizabeth!

In my twenty-plus years of clinical experience, I have realized that learning is an everyday occurrence. I am positively challenged by the opportunities given to me by working with clients of varying ages and stages in life. My practice focuses on the "life story" of the whole client, including family, interests, and personal characteristics.

My approach

My experience has afforded me the opportunity to utilize a blend of treatment modalities (Cognitive Behavioral Treatment and a person-centered approach) and tailor my approach to the individual needs and goals of a client. I truly love what I do and feel that my role is the vehicle for change to a more empowered and healthy balance in one's emotional life.

My focus

Are you struggling through a separation, divorce, or co-parenting problem? Do you worry that your relationship could be healthier, or that you and your partner can do more to support one another rather than argue? Additionally, I specialize in working with adults/young adults who struggle with life transitions, relationships, work/life stress, depression, anxiety, body image concerns, disordered eating, and/or eating disorders.

My communication style

I foster a therapeutic communication style within my individual and couples sessions through openness and honesty. It is important for me to create a nonjudgmental and sensitive environment for each of my clients.

My journey to mental healthcare

I entered the helping field in 2001 because I really wanted to help individuals overcome all mental health challenges they are facing.

My goals for you

I use a person-centered approach to goal setting with my patients. People who set goals tend to have higher self-motivation, self-esteem, independence and confidence. Having measurable goals to work on in therapy is essential in gauging progress.

My first session with you

The first session that we spend together, I typically gather data/information on the patient. This is helpful to me to understand who you are as a person, and not just what your current challenges that brought you to therapy are.
